Council acquires two vacant properties

Wycombe District Council has stepped in to acquire two long-term vacant properties in the Frogmoor and Church Street areas of Wycombe town centre. Both properties were previoulsy owned by the Arcadia group.

The two properties are the former premises of Burton menswear at 6-8 Frogmoor and the Accessorize shop at 9-10 Church Street which closed several years ago and  in recent years featured a ‘day and night’ mural painted on the façade by students from Amersham and Wycombe College.

Both retail units will be refurbished by the Council and bought back into use later in the year. HWBIDCo have agreed to lease the Church Street unit as a ‘pop-up-shop’ as part of their retail start up initiative.
