Rail services to resume after landslip

| February 17, 2014

Chiltern Railways are planning to run a normal timetable on Monday, 17th February 2014 following a weekend of disruption of services due to a landslip near Leamington Spa.

Since Friday engineers from Network Rail have been working around the clock to secure the landslip and restore services.

Although the line is open speed restrictions will be in place at the affected area. It is hoped the restrictions will add no more than five minutes to journeys.

Rolling stock will be moved through the night to ensure it is in the correct location for resumption of services. However on Monday some services may have fewer carriages than normal.

Further work will take place on the landslip next weekend. Any time table alterations will be given on the Chiltern Railways website.
