A 29 year old male from Sandy Lane Caravan Park in Watford pleaded guilty to an offence of illegally dumping controlled waste when he attended High Wycombe Magistrates Court on 12th March 2014.

The court heard that on 25th April 2013, illegally dumped waste was found strewn along the road in Trenches Lane, Iver. The waste was traced back to an address in Slough. Further enquiries indicated that the waste was taken away by the male, who was subsequently interviewed at Langley Police Station by enforcement officers from Buckinghamshire County Council. At that stage he denied any wrongdoing.

Bearing in mind his limited means the magistrates fined the offender £200 and ordered him to pay clean-up and prosecution costs of £300. A victim surcharge of £20 was also levied, making a total to pay of £520.

The case was investigated and prosecuted by Buckinghamshire County Council working on behalf of the Waste Partnership for Buckinghamshire.
