Patients from Stoke Mandeville Hospital participate in Inter Spinal Unit Games

Eight patients from the world renowned National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital are to participate in the Inter Spinal Unit Games (ISUG) taking place at Stoke Mandeville stadium this week.

The team of patients from NSIC will competing alongside teams from 12 other spinal injury centres from across the UK and Ireland.

Organised by the charity WheelPower the Inter Spinal Unit Games provides a unique opportunity for patients in their first year of recovery following a spinal injury.

Throughout the week the teams will get to both try out and compete in new sports and events from archery to table tennis and end with a dinner and award presentation.
