Man injured in M40 accident

A man was injured in an accident involving a car and a van on the M40 which occurred in the evening rush hour on Wednesday 6th August 2014.

The accident happened on the Northbound carriage way between Junction 3 (Loudwater) and Junction 4 (Handy Cross).

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue were altered to the incident at 5.16pm. One fire appliance and crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station and another was despatched to the scene from Gerrards Cross fire station.

An injured man was released from the wreckage before the fire fighters arrived. Another man and a boy were also released before firefighters were in attendance however they were both uninjured.

The firefighters made the scene safe before leaving.
