Victoria Street machete attack – Two men each sentenced to 4 years in prison

Two men were sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment for joint enterprise grievous bodily harm with intent at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday 10th October 2014.

A 19 year old man of Wheelers Park in High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to section 18 wounding with intent and was sentenced to four years in prison.

A 23, year old man of Plumer Road in High Wycombe, also pleaded guilty to section 18 wounding with intent and was sentenced to four years in prison.

On Friday 27 June 2014 the two men attacked a 21 year old man in Victoria Street in High Wycombe. The 19 year old attacked the victim by swinging a machete at him several times, whilst the 23 year old shouted words of encouragement and punched the victim in the chest.

The victim sustained a 4cm laceration to the top of his scalp, a laceration to his tricep which was 3 to 4cms deep and superficial lacerations to his hand.

The 23 year old man was charged on 7th July 2014 and the 19 year old man was charged on 9th July 2014. Both were remanded in custody.

They both pleaded guilty on 10th October 2014 and were sentenced on the same day.
