Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 Plymouth Argyle (agg 5-3)

Wycombe Wanderers are on their way to the League Two play off final at Wembley following a 2-1 (5-3 on aggregate) victory over Plymoth Argyle at Adams Park on Thursday 14th May 2015.

The Chairboys stamped their dominance on the match in the first few minutes of the game when Paul Hayes scored from close range in the eighth minute.

Alfie Mawson scored a second for the Blues with a header from a corner in the thirty fifth minute.

With a 2-0 lead on the night (5-2 on aggregate) Wycombe were in a commanding position at half time. It looked as if Plymouth would fail to score during this evenings game however in the seventy first minute Ryan Brunt scored for Plymouth to give their loss some form of respectability.

Wycombe had 49% possession compared to 51% for Plymouth however Wycombe managed twelve shots on goal (seven on target) compared to Plymouth’s thirteen shots (four on target). The game had eleven fouls, five by Wycombe players and six by Plymouth players.

The attendance at Adams Park was 7,750 (2,028 supporters from Plymouth Argyle).

Wycombe Wanders will play Southend United at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23rd May 2015 to decide who gets promoted to League One. The kick-off will be at 5.30pm.
