Agreement reached over changes at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre

Changes are being made at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre which is managed by Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) on behalf of Aylesbury Vale District Council.

A new arrangement for the Waterside has been reached between AVDC and ATG that will see the management fee reduced over a five-year period. This will provide ongoing savings to the council whilst enabling ATG to continue to build audiences and deliver a first class programme of events.

The new funding arrangement will become effective from October 2016. ATG’s contract to run the theatre lasts until 2025.

The Waterside Theatre is managed by ATG, the world’s number one live-theatre company with 45 venues in Britain, the US and Australia, including 12 in London’s West End and The Lyric Theatre, the largest theatre on Broadway.

The Waterside has seen over 2,000 performances since its opening in October 2010.
