At around 10.15pm on Wednesday 25th May 2016 bullets were fired through the windows of a house and a vehicle at Mill Way, Aylesbury.

A downstairs window of the property and the windscreen of a car, which was parked outside, had been damaged and had what appeared to be bullet holes appeared overnight.

Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses in regards to the incident.

Investigating officer Det Inspector Mark Baxter said: ‘While this was extremely worrying for the occupants an incident like this is very rare . We are still trying to establish a motive and one of our lines of enquiry is that this may be a case of mistaken identity.

I understand the community will be worried about this incident. I can reassure residents that we are conducting a thorough investigation.

Because of the investigation residents will see an increased police presence in the area while we carry out vital enquiries. If you have any concerns please speak to a police officer at the scene.
