Murder investigation launched following death of a woman in High Wycombe

A murder investigation has been launched by Thames Valley Police after a woman died at a house in Dashwood Avenue High Wycombe.

At approximately 5.30am on Monday 19th September 2016 police officers were called to a property in Dashwood Avenue, High Wycombe, the ambulance service also attended and sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have arrested a man from High Wycombe on suspicion of murder while a second man has been arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police constable in the execution of his or her duty.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Supt Chris Ward, Head of the Major Crime Unit, said: ‘Residents may have noticed police activity in the Dashwood Avenue area this morning following this incident. A scene watch is in place at the house and officers are in the area making enquiries.

We are in the very early stages of the investigation and I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about what happened here this morning. Anyone or saw or heard anything out of the ordinary in the Dashwood Avenue area, please get in touch via the 101 number or by speaking to officers.

Thames valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have information about the incident to please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
