Human remains discovered at scene of house fire in Princes Risborough

Human remains have been discovered at the scene of a house fire that occurred in Jasmine Crescent, Princes Risborough on Monday 15th May 2017.

The fire, which occurred, at about 12.35am, severely damaged the property. The Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have been working to make the site safe however during their work, and a search of the property, human remains were been discovered.

Sadly it is believed  the occupant of the house, a man, died as a result of the fire. The next of kin of the man who lived at the house have been informed. However formal identification of the deceased is yet to take place.

Officers from Thames Valley Police remain at the site of a house fire.

As this stage the circumstances of the fire are not believed to be suspicious. Officers from Thames Valley Police and the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are working to identify the cause of the fire.
