600kg bag of fertilizer fell from vehicle onto road in Amersham

A bag of fertiliser weighing 600kg fell from an unknown vehicle onto Chesham Road in Amersham during the afternoon of Wednesday 29th November 2017.

About 80kg of the ammonium nitrate fertilizer spilled on to the road near Dr Challoner’s Grammar School.

At 3.36pm firefighters were called to the incident. One fire appliance with crew attended from Amersham fire station as well as one from Beaconsfield fire station. An officer also attended.

The firefighters swept up the fertiliser, put it in bags and covered it ready for collection.
