Burglar wearing balaclava threatened elderly man with knife during aggravated burglary in High Wycombe

A burglar wearing a balaclava threatened a man in his eighties with a knife during an aggravated burglary in High Wycombe.

At around 8.25pm on Saturday 20th January 2018 a man in his eighties answered the door at his home in Chichester Close, High Wycombe.

A man entered then the house and waved a knife around before demanding money. The main in his eighties then waved his walking stick at the offender who fled the scene.

No money was taken during the incident and the victim was not injured.

The offender is described as white man, in his early twenties, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a dark blue balaclava.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Chris Hatton, of Force CID based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘We are appealing for anyone who might have any information surrounding this incident to please come forward.
