A burglary took place at a bookmakers in Mill End Road, High Wycombe on Sunday 15th April 2018.

At around 2.30am a man carrying a sledgehammer broke into the branch of Coral bookmakers in Mill End Road, Sands, High Wycombe. The burglar alarm activated and the man left in the direction of Dashwood Avenue. During the incident nothing was stolen.

The burglar  described as a stocky white man, he was wearing a blue denim jacket over a dark green jumper, dark trousers and a black balaclava.

Investigating officer PC Leigh Andrews, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any dash cam footage from the area at around 2.30am on Sunday.

The noise of the burglar alarm would have drawn attention to the shop and it is fortunate this man was deterred so quickly.‘
