Planning permission has been given for a new Lidl supermarket on the site of the former Homebase DIY store in London Road, High Wycombe.

A planning application for the new Lidl supermarket, ref, 18/07098/FUL, was made to Wycombe District Council on Friday 10th August 2018 and approval was given on Thursday 25th April 2019.

The planning application permits the refurbishment of the existing Class A1 retail unit on the site, formerly occupied by Homebase, located at 300 London Road, High Wycombe. It also permits a change of use to allow the sale of food and related comparison goods.

The garden centre, located on the side of the former Homebase store, will be used for the erection of two units (Class A1 and/or A3) while the existing car parking will also be re-configured with the creation of cycle and trolley parking.

Once completed the store in London Road will be the second Lidl store in High Wycombe as Lidl already has a store in West Richardson Street, High Wycombe.
