Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 2nd December 2019

Week commencing Monday 2nd December 2019 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Main Street, Charndon : Monday 18th November 2019 to Monday 2nd December 2019, 7.00am to 5.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed and the route 16 journey from the ‘Main Street’ stop will depart from the stop adjacent to the Recreation Ground instead. Please note this will significantly affect school transport service 907 to Buckingham and Royal Latin Schools. Revised timetables will be handed out to pupils travelling in advance.

Chapmans Crescent, Chesham : Wednesday 20th November 2019 to Friday 20th December 2019. Due to some urgent repair works this road will be closed and bus route 77 will need to divert, by turning at Poles Hill. Passengers from Chapmans Crescent are advised to wait on the Hail and Ride section on Darvell Drive instead.

Ickford Road, Shabbington : Wednesday 27th November 2019 to Monday 9th December 2019, (except weekends) 7.30am to 4.30pm. This road will be closed for Transport for Buckinghamshire works and the 110 service will run to a different timetable at these times buses will divert after serving Long Crendon to Worminghall via Oakley and will then serve Ickford turning at Ickford village to return the same way. Passengers are advised that the stops in Shabbington will not be served between these times.

High Street, Marlow : Thursday 5th December 2019, 1.30pm to 10.00pm. Due to a Christmas event bus routes 158 and 160 will not be able to serve the High Street during this afternoon.

High Street / Whielden Street / The Broadway, Amersham Old Town : Friday 6th December 2019, 4.00pm to 10.00pm due to a Christmas event buses will need to divert via the A413 and Gore Hill. Stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the ‘Hospital’ stops on Whielden Lane will not be served on this evening. The nearest alternative stops are on Gore Hill or the ‘Crematorium’ stops on Whielden Lane.

Chalfont St Peter : Friday 6th December 2019, 4.30pm to 9.30pm. Due to a Christmas event buses in Chalfont St Peter will be diverting during this evening. From Gerrards Cross buses will need to divert via Kingsway, Lower Road and the High Street (where passengers can board/alight near to the junction with Market Place) and vice versa. As such stops on Austenwood Lane, Gold Hill West, Grove Lane, Nicol Road, Gold Hill North and Market Place will not be served on this evening.

Sycamore Road, Amersham : Saturday 7th December 2019, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to a Christmas event on this day this road will be closed and buses 71, 73 and 103 will not serve stops D and E on this day. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Hill Avenue instead.

High Street / Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Saturday 7th December 2019, 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Due to a Christmas event bus route 41 will need to divert via Nairdwood Lane and Lodge Lane during these times. Stops between the ‘Green Man PH’ and ‘Holy Trinity Church’ will not be served.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Oak Tree Road, Marlow : Friday 29th November 2019 to Tuesday 3rd December 2019. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the stop along Oak Tree Road towards the town centre will be suspended on these dates instead. Bus route 160 passengers are advised to use the stop on Seymour Park Road instead.

Woodside Road, Amersham : Saturday 30th November 2019 to Monday 2th December 2019. Due to UKPN works both ‘Plantation Road’ stops will be suspended on these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Green Lane’ stops further along Woodside Road instead.

Hazlemere Road, Hazlemere : Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December 2019. Due to BT Openreach working in the vicinity the ‘Coppice Farm Park’ stop towards Penn will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hazlemere Road’ stop just past the Curzon Avenue junction instead.
