Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 6th January 2020

Week commencing Monday 6th January 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October 2019 to Saturday 29th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead. The eastbound closure dates will be confirmed on this page.

Grove Lane, Whelpley Hill : Monday 6th to Thursday 9th January 2020, 7.45am to 4.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works buses will not be able to serve the ‘White Hart’ or ‘Grove Lane’ stops in Whelpley Hill between between these times.

Station Approach / Hill Avenue / Chiltern Avenue, Amersham : Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 January 2020, 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to works on behalf of London Underground these roads will not be served on these nights. The nearest alternative stops are on Sycamore Road or Woodside Road.

Main Street, Tingewick : Saturday 11th January 2020. Due to works on behalf of Anglian Water, this road will be closed. Service 132 buses will be diverting and will not serve stops in Tingewick or Little Tingewick. Passengers for Tingewick are advised to wait by the junction of Main Street and Preston Bissett Road and clearly hail for the bus. Passengers for Little Tingewick are advised to wait by the junction of Sandpit Hill and Banbury Road and clearly hail for the bus.

Bus Stop Suspensions

Main Road, Bishopstone : Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th January 2020. Due to UK Power Solutions work’s the ‘Harrow PH’ stop for the 611 back from Aylesbury will be suspended on these days. The bus will stop where safe outside the traffic management.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Monday 6th to Wednesday 8th January 2020, 7.00pm to 5.00am. Due to works on behalf of BT Openreach the ‘Southern Road’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the ‘West Street’ or ‘Henley’s Roundabout’ stop instead.

Station Road, Beaconsfield : Monday 6th to Friday 31st January 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works nearby both ‘Post Office’ stops will be suspended during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Waitrose’ stops on Penn Road instead.

Aylesbury Road, Princes Risborough : Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th January 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works in the vicinity both the ‘Avenue’ stops will be suspended on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the stops nearer Monks Risborough by Peter’s Lane or stops in the town centre instead.

Buckingham Road, Princes Risborough : Friday 10th January 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Britannia PH’ stops will be suspended during these times. Passengers are advised to use the stop on New Street, if travelling away from the town or the stop on White Hill if traveling towards town instead.

Chinnor Road, Bledlow Ridge : Friday 10th to Thursday 16th January 2020. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Ford’s Close’ stop for journeys towards Chinnor will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Boot’ or ‘Old Post Office’ stop instead.

Hughenden Road, High Wycombe : Friday 10th to Wednesday 15th January 2020, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Beaconsfield Arms’ stops will be suspended on these nights. Passengers for route 30 are advised to use the stops on Hughenden Avenue instead. Passengers for route 300 are using the ‘Coates Lane’ stops further along Hughenden Road.

Sheep Street, Winslow : Sunday 12th and Sunday 19th January 2020, 8.00am to 3.30pm. Due to Anglian Water works both ‘Bell Hotel’ stops will be suspended on these Sundays. Passengers for route 60 are advised to use the stops further along Sheep Street instead.
