Bus stop suspensions and service diversions for the week ahead – Monday 10th February 2020

Week commencing Monday 10th February 2020 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Link Road, Great Missenden : Monday 14th October 2019 to Friday 14th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of the HS2 project this road will be closed in the westbound towards Great Missenden Station, as such the bus stop outside the Library will not be served and passengers will need to use the stops on the High Street instead.

Church Road, Marsh Gibbon : Monday 3rd to Friday 21st February 2020. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed and bus route 18 will need to divert via Castle Street, Spiers Lane, Whales Lane, West Edge and Tompkins Lane. As such the stops on Church Street and Bicester Road will not be served. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Post Office’ stops on Station Road instead.

Abbey Barn Road/Kingsmead Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 15th February 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the junction between these two roads will be closed on these Saturdays. Route 35 will divert via the London Road and Station Road and will not serve stops on Abbey Barn Road and Kingsmead Road on these days.

Bryants Bottom Road, Bryants Bottom : Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th February 2020. Due to Affinity Water works this road will be closed. Bus routes 333 and 334 will divert and not serve stops along Warrendene Road or Bryants Bottom Road on these days.

Spurlands End Road, Great Kingshill : Tuesday 11th to Friday 21st February 2020, 7.30am to 5.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works bus route 41 will need to divert on these days. From High Wycombe the bus route will serve stops in Widmer End as normal and then turn back onto Sawpit Hill via Brimmers Hill. The buses will then divert via Watchet Lane and Windsor Lane, before resuming normal route at Heath End Road in Great Kingshill (and vice versa towards High Wycombe). As such the two pairs of stops on Spurlands End Road will not be served. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Heath End Road instead.

Bus Stop Suspensions

One Pin Lane, Farnham Common : Wednesday 8th to Friday 14th February 2020. Due to Cadent Gas works both the ‘One Pin PH’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Mayflower Way’ stops on One Pin Lane or the ‘Village Green’ stops on Hedgerley Hill instead.

A413 Amersham Road, Chalfont St Giles / Chalfont Common : Monday 13th January to Monday 10th February 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of HS2 both ‘Cherry Acre’ stops and the ‘Green Meadows’ stop towards Chalfont St Peter will be suspended at these times. The nearest alternative stops to ‘Cherry Acre’ are the ‘Misbourne Avenue’ stops and to the ‘Green Meadows’ stop the ‘Kings Road’ stops, all located on the Amersham Road.

Fowler Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th January to Friday 13th March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works road widening works as part of the Oxford Road corridor improvement scheme the ‘Fowler Road’ stop for journeys from town (nearest to the junction of the Oxford Road) will be suspended for this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Prebendal Farm Shops’ stop instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 27th January to Friday 6th March 2020. Due to the A40 London Road corridor improvement works the ‘Hatters Lane’ stop towards the town centre will be suspended during these dates. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stop instead.

Wycombe Road, Handy Cross, High Wycombe : Saturday 8th February 2020, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the ‘Blacksmith Arms PH’ stops will be suspended between these hours. Passengers are advised to wait where safe, away from the works and hail clearly for the bus to stop.

Clay Lane, Booker : Sunday 9th February 2020 to Monday 2nd March 2020. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works both ‘Clayhill’ stops will be suspended during these period. Temporary stops will be set up outside the works area and passengers are advised to wait there instead.

High Street, Prestwood : Monday 10th February 2020, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water both the ‘Travellers Rest PH’ stops will be suspended on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Blacksmith Lane’ stops further up the High Street instead.

Lower Icknield Way, Marsworth : Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th February 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Thames Water works both the ‘Vicarage Road’ stops will be suspended at these times. Passengers are advised to use the stops at ‘Angler’s Retreat PH’ instead.

West Street and Addison Road, Steeple Claydon : Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th February 2020. Due to works on behalf of Openreach the stop on West Street near the junction to The Green and both stops on Addison Road near the Vicarage Lane junction will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use either the ‘Fountain PH’ stops on West Street or the ‘Surgery Stops’ on Vicarage Lane instead.

Worminghall Road, Oakley : Monday 10th to Friday 14th February 2020. Due to Thames Water works both ‘Royal Oak PH’ stops will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to wait away where safe away from the works and lights and hail clearly for the bus to stop.

Marlow Road, High Wycombe : Wednesday 12th February 2020, 7.30pm to 5.00am. Due to Thames Water works the stop towards Marlow just after the junction with Cressex Road will be suspended on this night. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rupert Avenue’ stop on Desborough Avenue instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Wednesday 12th to Tuesday 18th February 2020. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Royal Oak PH’ stop towards Slough will be suspended on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Templewood Lane’ stop further along Beaconsfield Road instead.

Meadowcroft, Aylesbury : Friday 14th February 2020, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works on behalf of WHP Telecoms the ‘John Kennedy PH’ stop opposite the shops will be suspended at these times. For bus routes 2 and 3 passengers are advised to use the stop on Quarrendon Avenue; and for bus routes 5 and 13 passengers are advised to use the ‘Belgrave Road’ stop further back along Meadowcroft.
