Fire severely damages first floor and roof of property in Bourne End

The first floor and roof of property in Bourne End was severely damaged by fire on Sunday 17th May 2020.

At 6.00am firefighters were called to the incident at Furlong Close, Bourne End. One fire appliance with crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station, one from High Wycombe fire station and two from Maidenhead fire station. Three officers attended.

The fire is believed to have started in the bedroom of the property before spreading to the roof.

Two hose reels and eight sets of breathing apparatus were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.

The first floor and roof of the property were severely damaged by fire while the ground floor was 50% damaged by smoke and water.

A woman was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
