Fire involving a barn, 60 tonnes of straw, lorry and baler in Hughenden Valley

A fire involving a barn, 60 tonnes of straw, a lorry and a baler occurred in the Hughenden Valley on the afternoon of Sunday 17th May 2020.

At 2.05pm firefighters were called to the incident at Hatches Lane, Hughenden Valley, near High Wycombe. Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Amersham fire station, two from Aylesbury fire station and one from Maidenhead fire station. Two officers also attended.

Four main jets, two hose reels and four sets of breathing apparatus were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.

At 6.30pm, 11.30pm and 4.30am relief crews took were called into take over.
