Firefighters receive 70 calls to large fire in Princes Risborough

Firefighters received seventy 999 calls to a large fire in Princes Risborough during the afternoon of Friday 29th May 2020.

At 3.24pm firefighters were called to the fire in Summerleys Farm Road, Princes Risborough. Two fire appliances with crews attended from Aylesbury fire station, two from High Wycombe fire station, two from Wheatley fire station and  one from Thame fire station. Two officers also attended.

The fire involved:

  • Three static diesel tanks containing 2,000 litres of diesel.
  • Two cars and a lorry.
  • Six LPG cylinders and two acetylene cylinders.

Four main jets and four sets of breathing apparatus were used by the firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.

Seventy 999 calls regarding the fire were received in the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service control room.
