Following the highly successful ‘Now You See Me’ film of 2013, the four Horsemen, Daniel ‘Danny’ Atlas (Jesse Eisenberg), Merritt McKinney (Woody Harrelson), Lula May (Lizzy Caplan) and Jack Wilder (Dave Franco), return to perform heist using their magical skills.
The film is set one year on from the original and sees the Horsemen in hiding awaiting instructions from the Eye. FBI agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) assigns them a new mission, this time to expose corrupt businessman Owen Case (Ben Lamb) who is about to launch a new phone that secretly steals data on its users for Case’s benefit.
However things don’t go as planned leaving the Horsemen and their leader Dylan in a spot of bother.
Review
The film is as good as the original and continues where the first film left off. There’s plenty of excitement, illusions and fast moving action not to mention an excellent plot which has many twists and turns.
If you liked the first film in the franchise then you are sure to like ‘Now You See Me 2‘.
