Snow falls in High Wycombe
Snow is falling in High Wycombe (2.47pm on Tuesday 22nd January 2018).
Unusually large flakes of snow are pouring from the heavens and have started to lay on untreated surfaces. At the moment the main roads are still passable however some untreated roads in the hillier parts of town are becoming unpassable.

Transport for Buckinghamshire are planning to carry out a gritting run throughout the County later tonight however due to the heavy snowfall in High Wycombe the gritters will be sent out to treat the roads in High Wycombe earlier than usual.

UPDATE : 3.29pm on 22nd January 2019 : In Hammersley Lane there is a covering of approximately 2cm of snow while around 3cm of snow has fallen so far in Castlefield with reports of up to 15cm in some parts of Downley. Snow is continuing to fall steadily. Two accidents are being reported on Amersham Hill, High Wycombe with traffic bought to a standstill as a result.

UPDATE : 11.40pm on 22nd January 2019 : While snow is not falling at the moment there is a thick layer covering most parts of High Wycombe. The treated main roads are passable but conditions on many roads in the residential areas can only be described as treacherous. Sub zero temperatures overnight will mean the snow is still with us for the rush hour on the early morning of Wednesday 23rd January 2019.
