Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 24th April 2023
Week commencing Monday 24th April 2023 roadworks are scheduled to take place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.
The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.
Plane and Patch Works
The Spinney, Beaconsfield – From the junction of Wattleton Road in the South East direction for 207m : Monday 24th April 2023 to Wednesday 26th April 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure with additional ‘Give and Take’ traffic management on the junction with Wattleton Road in operation between 9.00am and 3.30pm.
White Hill, Chesham – From Broadlands Avenue to The Backs : Thursday 27th April 2023 to 2nd May 2023 – Plane and patch works using a road closure in operation between 7.00am and 7.00pm.
So far in 2023 Buckinghamshire council has received reports of much higher numbers of road defects than in recent years due to the impact of the winter weather, a situation reflected nationwide. In response, Buckinghamshire Highways teams are working seven days a week, prioritising the most dangerous potholes and making urgent repairs. Other potholes and defects are scheduled for repair according to safety criteria and Buckinghamshire Highways is working through this plan, with eight repair crews are aiming to complete 2,500 jobs per month.
