Boy sustained serious head injuries after being hit by a car’s wing mirror in Wooburn Green

At about 4.00pm in Wednesday 30th September 2015 a 64-year-old woman and a five-year-old boy were crossing the road in Town Lane near the junction with Wooburn Manor Park in Wooburn Green when a car’s wing mirror collided with the boy.

The boy sustained serious head injuries and is being treated at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. The woman was uninjured.

The car is believed to be a silver Renault Scenic with French registration beginning with DV.

Investigating officer, Sgt Dominic Mahon of the Roads Policing Unit based at Amersham, said: ‘I would appeal to anyone who saw the pedestrians and or car before the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police.
