Police appeal for witnesses following a robbery in Amersham

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the robbery of a RAF veteran in Amersham.

On Wednesday 27th May 2026, at around 1.00pm, a man in his nineties was approached by a dark coloured vehicle on Church Street, Amersham.

The passenger in the vehicle handed the victim a £20 note before the vehicle drove up Rectory Hill. The man in his nineties later realised that his watch had been stolen.

The man in his nineties did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The offender is described as a white female, aged approximately in her late forties with blonde hair.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Gabriel Dennis said: ‘I am appealing for any witnesses to this robbery to please come forward.

Also, if you were driving in the area around the time of the robbery and have a dash-cam, or have CCTV footage please check your recordings in case they have captured something that could support our investigation.‘
