Chiltern Railways wins top award for punctuality

Chiltern Railways have won the ‘Gold Award’ for operational performance at the prestigious Golden Whistle Awards in recognition of an excellent track record in punctuality.

Now in their fifth year the Golden Whistle Awards are organised by the Institute of Railway Operators (IRO) and Modern Railways magazine.

This latest award comes on top of being named the top franchised rail operator in 2013 for punctuality beating rivals Virgin Trains and London Midland in figures released by Network Rail.
