Tree removal part of facilitation work

Six trees adjacent to the George Street car park in High Wycombe are scheduled to be removed shortly by Wycombe District Council.

The trees are being removed as part of the facilitation works for the construction of the Westbourne Street link road which forms part of the revised road layout specified in the High Wycombe town center ‘Masterplan’.

Removing the trees at this time of year is hoped avoid the bird nesting season when tree felling is restricted. Around thirty new trees will be planted in the area later in the year to compensate for those removed.
