Leisure centres under new management

From 1st July 2014 the three leisure centres administered by Wycombe District Council will come under new management.

A 15 year management contract on the Wycombe Sports Centre, Risborough Springs Swim and Fitness Centre and Court Garden Leisure Complex in Marlow has been awarded to Places for People Leisure Management Limited.

Places for People Leisure was previously known as DC Leisure Management but is now part of the Places for People Group. The are recognised as one of the market leaders in the management of local authority leisure centres and currently operates over 100 leisure centres on behalf of 30 local councils throughout the UK.

In addition to managing the three leisure centres mentioned previously Places for People Leisure will also run the new synthetic turf pitch at John Hampden Grammar School as well as ensuring a smooth transition to the new multi-million pound sports and leisure centre at Handy Cross when it opens next year.
