Oakridge Road closed following accident

Around midday yesterday, Saturday 17th May 2014, Oakridge Road in High Wycombe was closed for several hours following an accident in which a small earth mover toppled over.

The earth mover was apparently carrying out excavation works at a property close to the junction of Plomer Road and Oakridge Road. Fuel from the digger leaked and ran down the hill towards the junction with Copyground Lane.

Engineers from Buckinghamshire County Council  were involved in the clean up operation to remove foreign substances from the road surface.

Oakridge Road re-opened to traffic later in the afternoon.
