Fatal accident on A40 at Stokenchurch
A witness appeal has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a fatal road traffic collision on the A40 at Stokenchurch.
On Sunday 8th June 2014 at approximately 11.30am a silver BMW X5 car was in collision with a grey Yamaha R1 motorcycle on the A40 Oxford Road at the turn for Christmas Common, near Aston Hill close to the motorway bridge.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 41 year old man, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the silver BMW car is being treated for minor injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Anyone who witnessed this incident or who may have seen either of the vehicles involved prior to the collision is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote the URN 594 8/6/14.
