Upstairs of former Woolworths store in Castle Street may become American style sports bar with 18 hole indoor mini golf course

A planning application has been submitted to Wycombe District Council to create an American style sports bar and restaurant in the upstairs of the former Woolworths store in Castle Street, High Wycombe.

The application covers Oakley Hall, 8 Castle Street & 1st Floor Red Lion House, 9-10 High Street.

Expected to create ten full time and fifteen part time jobs the development will cover 2180 square metres and require change of use of the premises from A1 (Retail) to Sui Generis use. The planning application documents state the new business will be trading from 10.00am to midnight seven days a week.

Alongside the American style sports bar and restaurant the development will also comprise five golf simulators, an 18 hole indoor mini golf course, conferencing and small retail areas.

The application, reference 14/06368/FUL, was submitted to Wycombe District Council on Wednesday 21st May 2014. Currently ‘pending consideration’ the application is expected to be discussed on 30th July 2014 at the meeting of the Wycombe District Council Planning Committee.
