Two men convicted of stealing heating oil in Aylesbury Vale

Two men have been convicted of stealing heating oil from a house in Granborough, Aylesbury Vale, the day after they committed the offence.

A male aged 20 and another male aged 24, both of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to the offences at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on 3rd September 2014.

The 20 year old pleaded guilty to one count of theft of heating oil; one count of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and one count of driving without insurance.

The 24 year old pleaded guilty to one count of theft of heating oil.

The charges relate to an offence that took place in Granborough on Tuesday 2nd September 2014.

Both men received a fine of £110 plus costs and victim surcharge for the theft. The 20 year old additionally received a fine of £110, six points for no insurance and six points for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

PC Ben Dyke, from Aylesbury police station, said: ‘Thames Valley Police is committed to investigating and reducing crime in our rural communities. I hope that this sends out a strong message to anyone wishing to travel to the Thames Valley in order to commit crime, we will actively look for you and you will be caught.
