Marylebone Station wins ‘Major Station of the Year’ award

Marylebone Station, the London terminus of Chiltern Railways, was awarded Major Station of the Year at the UK’s prestigious National Rail Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Thursday 18th September 2014.

The station was up against other major Mainline stations such as London Liverpool Street, York and London St Pancras International. The judges praised the helpful staff, the cleanliness of the station and the new information centre.

At the awards ceremony London Liverpool Street station, managed by Network Rail, was ‘Highly Commended’ in the Major Station category.

Stations were judged in early summer against set criteria for operations, infrastructure and customer-friendly presentation. Particular emphasis was placed on initiative and innovation.
