Man sentenced to two and a half years’ imprisonment for raid on Co-Op supermarket in Park Parade, Hazlemere

A 26 year old man from Swan Road, Iver has been sentenced to 32 months’ imprisonment for burglary and driving offences.

On Friday 26th September 2014 the man was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court to 30 months in prison for burglary with intent to steal and two months in prison for driving while disqualified, to be served consecutively.

He has also been disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge.

The convicted man pleaded guilty to the offences at Aylesbury Crown Court on 5th September 2014.

On 29th August 2014 the convicted man used a Peugeot 206 to ram the front doors of the Co-Op supermarket in Park Parade, Hazlemere and gained entry to the shop.

He then attempted to steal cigarettes but was arrested shortly after the incident close to the scene and was charged on the same day.
