Warning letters sent to speeding drivers in Burnham

Between 7.00pm and 7.35pm on Friday 19th September 2014 a neighbourhood policing team together with a member of the public carried out a speed check operation in Dropmore Road, Burnham.

During the speed check operation one hundred and thirty vehicles passed through. A speed indicator device showed that fourteen of those vehicles were travelling over the 30mph speed limit.

The exercise was repeated again on Wednesday 1st October 2014 between 4.00pm and 5.00pm. Of the one hundred and ninety four vehicles that passed by seven were exceeding the speed limit.

A warning letter has been sent to the owners of the vehicles found to be in breach of the speed limit.
