Attempted robbery in Benjamin Road, High Wycombe

At about 9.40pm on Saturday 18th October 2014 a 20-year-old woman was walking in Benjamin Road. As she approached the junction with Priory Avenue a man approached her and grabbed her throat.

The man then demanded money, before the victim kicked him in the groin. As the offender lay on the ground the victim then ran from the scene.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 10in, slim, in his mid to late twenties. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up and blue jeans.

Nothing was stolen during the incident and the victim was uninjured.

Investigating officer, PC James Wood of Local CID based at High Wycombe said: ‘We believe this offence to be an opportunistic incident, but where possible we would advise people to walk in pairs or groups at night. Police would also advise residents to use well-lit routes.
