Two men die in fatal crash on Amersham Road, Beaconsfield

A fatal road traffic collision occurred on A355 Amersham Road, Beaconsfield during the late evening of Tuesday 11th November 2014.

A silver Ford MPV and a silver BMW coupé were involved in the collision which occurred on the A355 at Whippas Hill.

The driver and the passenger of the BMW, both men aged in their twenties, died at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.

A man and a woman, both aged in their sixties, who were travelling in the Ford sustained serious injuries in the accident, both were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance.

At 10.29pm two fire appliances with crews were despatched to the incident from Beaconsfield fire station together with one from Amersham fire station and an officer.

The A335 was closed for several hours in both directions between Magpie Lane and Longbottom Lane while roads policing officers investigated the circumstances of the collision.

Sgt Mark Dunne, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: ‘I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicles travelling prior to the collision to speak to the police.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with information about the collision that could help their enquiries to please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
