Primark issue product recall on certain sets of fairy lights

Primark have issued a safety recall relating to boxed sets of 40, 100 and 200 multi-coloured and clear fairy lights (tracking numbers Kimball 39690/39691/39694), which were on sale in Primark’s UK stores from 19th October 2014 to 28th November 2014.

A statement on the Primark website says: ‘Through our on-going due-diligence programme it has come to our attention that the Fairy Lights detailed above do not meet the Primark usual high safety for standards. We have found a potential issue with the performance of the plug that could lead to an electric shock. With the safety of our customers at the forefront of our minds we are inviting you to return any of the above items purchased for a full refund.

If you have purchased any of these products then please return it to any Primark store where you will be offered a full refund. You will not be required to provide proof of purchase.‘
