Wycombe Wanderers regained the top spot in League Two this afternoon, Saturday 3rd January 2015, with a 1-0 win over Hartlepool at Adams Park.
The Chairboys stamped thier mark on the game with the only goal of the game in the thirty seventh minute when Fred Onyedinma put the ball into the bottom left corner of the visitors net.
During the whole match Hartlepool only managed to get one of their five shots on the Wycombe goal on target, this despite having 59% of ball possession over the entire match. Wycombe managed thirteen shots on the Hartlepool goal of which four were on target and one found the back of the net.
Hartlepool players committed thirteen fouls to Wycombe’s six. In the eighty-eighth minute Hartlepool’s Lewis Hawkins was sent of for a second bookable offence.
Wycombe Wanderers now find themselves leading League Two on forty-seven points, one point clear of the second placed team after playing twenty four matches.
The attendance at Adams Park was 3,607.
