Witness appeal launched after man was assaulted on the A413 in Chalfont St Peter
At 9.55am on Sunday 11th January 2015 a man was assaulted on the A413 in Chalfont St Peter.
The victim was driving behind a horse and trap that was racing on the road. He overtook the horse and trap and was followed by another vehicle, which rammed into the back of the victim’s car.
The victim and the offender then pulled over and got out of their vehicles. The offender then pushed the victim and punched him several times to the face.
The victim, who received swelling to the side of his face and a cut to the inside of his mouth, managed to get into his car and drive off.
It is believed the offender and those taking part in the horse and trap racing are known to each other.
Thames Valley Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact investigating officer PC Marguerite Seale of Amersham police station via the 24-hour enquiry line 101.
