Chiltern Railways come best in class in National Rail Passenger Survey satisfaction table

According to the latest National Rail Passenger Survey, conducted by Passenger Focus, Chiltern Railways have been named the UK’s highest rated Department for Transport (DfT) franchised operator.

With an overall satisfaction score of 91% Chiltern Railways were ahead of Virgin Trains (90%), London Midland (82%) and First Great Western (81%).

The National Rail Passenger Survey is one of the world’s largest published passenger satisfaction reports and explores over 30 specific aspects of service including overall satisfaction, plus satisfaction with the station and train.

Chiltern Railways were also named as the UK’s top DfT franchise operator in the following areas :

• No.1 for satisfaction with trains.
• No.1 for the attitude and helpfulness of station staff.
• No.1 (joint) for satisfaction with stations.
