Recovery truck and car damaged by fire at garage in Prestwood

Fire broke out in a concrete building used as garage workshop in Honor End Lane, Prestwood on the morning of Wednesday 11th February 2015.

Firefighters were called at 11.18am, one fire appliance with crew was despatched to the incident from Great Missenden fire station as well as two fire appliances with crews from Amersham fire station along with an officer.

One jet, one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera were used by the firefighters at the scene who also removed a number of gas cylinders.

Firefighters gave first aid and oxygen to a man who was suffering from burns and the effects of breathing in smoke. He was left in the care of the ambulance service.

A recovery truck and a car were damaged by fire.
