Wycombe Wanderers twice came from behind to earn a draw in their match against Southend United on Saturday 7th March 2015.
In the fourteenth minute Barry Corr scored to put Southend in the lead. A determined Wycombe drew level in the twenty-eighth minute when Steven Craig scored following a volley from Sam Wood.
The scores remained one apiece at half time, however in sixtieth minute Barry Corr once again put the home team in front leaving Wycombe everything to do if they wanted to salvage desperately needed points from the match.
In the eighty fifth minute Alfie Mawson’s headed late goal earned Wycombe a draw leaving the Chairboys third in League Two and still in the promotion zone.
Wycombe were the most dominant team with 56% ball possession. However the Wanderers only managed two shots on target to Southend’s five. The Blues conceded eleven fouls to Southend’s fourteen.
Coming from behind twice showed Wycombe’s determination to win. Although points were earned the Wanderers need to play better and play more aggressive football to seize the match in future if they are to remain in the promotion zone.
The attendance at Roots Hall was 6,204.
