Fire broke out in the kitchen of a flat in Shrubbery Close, High Wycombe

Firefighters were called to Shrubbery Close, High Wycombe at 1.09am on Monday 25th May 2015 after fire broke out in the kitchen of a flat.

High Wycombe fire station despatched two fire appliances with crews to the incident.

One hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.

The firefighters gave first aid and oxygen to a man who was suffering from burns to his shoulder and smoke inhalation.
