Witness appeal launched following distraction burglary in Chalfont-St-Peter
A witness appeal has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a distraction burglary in Chalfont-St-Peter, Buckinghamshire.
At 5.25pm on Friday 22nd May 2015 a man knocked at the door of a property in Eleanor Road and as the door was answered started to walk around the outside of the property. The resident, an elderly man, followed him.
While this was happening another man entered the property through a back door and walked around the house.
He was challenged by the other occupant of the house and he ran away without taking anything.
The first offender is describes as being about 40 years old, white, 5ft 6ins and of stocky build. The second offender is also about 40 years old, white, 5ft 8ins, slim with dark medium length hair and stubble. He was wearing a pale grey t-shirt and dark coloured trousers.
Investigating officer, Det Sgt Lucy Seabright, of Taplow Local CID, said: ‘This was a frightening experience for the home owners and I would ask anyone who may have information about these men to contact the police on 101.‘
