The Co-operative Food, New Road, High Wycombe evacuated after freezer caught fire

A small fire in a freezer unit at The Co-operative Food shop, New Road, High Wycombe required the attention of firefighters on the evening of Sunday 21st June 2015.

Firefighters were called at 8.42pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from High Wycombe fire station as well as one from Beaconsfield fire station and one from Maidenhead fire station.

The shop, close to the junction with Squirrel Lane, was evacuated while the firefighters extinguished the fire.

A thermal imaging camera and a Positive Pressure Ventilation) fan were used by the firefighters at the scene who isolated the electricity and gave safety advice.
