Woman in her 70s victim of attempted theft in Hazlemere

On Saturday 20th June 2015, at 3.00pm, a woman in her seventies was walking two dogs along a footpath behind Hazlemere Recreation Ground behind Hazlemere Recreation Ground, off Amersham Road, Hazlemere when she felt someone trying to pull her bag from her shoulder.

During the struggle the victim fell to the ground and the contents of her bag spilled on to the floor. The woman screamed and made a lot of noise which caused the offender to run away empty handed.

The offender is described as white male, aged 17 to 18 years old, 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins and slim. He had black hair and was possibly wearing jeans and a short-sleeved top.

The man also had a small black terrier-type dog with him.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident that could help with their enquiries should contact PC Chris Flowers at High Wycombe Police Station on 101.
