Firefighters called to St Mary’s Church, Aylesbury after sparks were seen coming from the roof
At 11.00pm on Saturday 11th July 2015 firefighters were called to St Mary’s Church, Church Square, Aylesbury following a report of sparks seen coming from the roof.
Two fire appliances with crews attended Aylesbury fire station along with an officer.
However the spark effect was actually caused by moths who where being attracted to the halogen light on the church roof.
The incident was declared a good intent false alarm.
