Wycombe Wanderers could only managed a goalless draw in their game against Crawley Town on Saturday 29th August 2015.
The chair boys unbeaten run this season may continue but it was a hard fought match and the Blues were lucky to come away with the draw.
Wycombe should have taken the lead ten minutes into the match but Sam Wood sliced the ball wide just six yards from the Crawley goal.
Matt Ingram played a vital part in keeping the Red Devils at bay. First by saving an early attempt from Crawley’s Lewis Young then,,with just two minutes of the match remaining, Roarie Deacon came close to scoring for Crawley after finding himself in a one on one situation with Ingram. However the Wycombe goalkeeper kept a clean sheet.
Wycombe made fifteen shots on goal (five on target) while six of Crawley’s seventeen shots at goal were on target.
The Blues managed 53% possession to Crawley’s 47%. The match saw twenty seven fouls, thirteen by Crawley players and fourteen by Wycombe.
After this game Wycombe slip to third place in League Two with eleven points from five games.
The attendance at the Broadfield Stadium was 2,466 (748 from Wycombe).
